Swelling and bruising appear within ten days after surgery. In some patients, these effects can also affect the cheek, eye, and forehead area. The post-surgical prescription is to keep the head elevated and use cold compresses to reduce, mainly, the swelling. As the incisions heal, numbness and itching may occur, which eases over time. Bandages, when used, are removed between one and three days, and sutures between seven and ten days after the procedure. Recovery time usually does not exceed two weeks, but it is advisable to avoid strenuous activities for a longer period.
Usually, an eyebrow lift is combined with a blepharoplasty or a facelift to result in a more harmonious rejuvenation.
