RENUVION

RENUVION delivers uniform, controlled energy with exceptional precision.

Surgeons use this new technology to apply energy to the subdermal layer, causing the tissue to contract. Doctors report that the contraction effect is already noticeable immediately after the procedure, but the treatment outcome can continue to improve over months thanks to temperature-stimulated neocollagenesis.

The procedure is performed using a sterile, single-handed device through which plasma energy is used in retro-application, at a speed of about 1 cm/second. Only 1 to 2% of the helium gas is ionized and turns into plasma; the gas remaining in the cavity cools the area promoting a dual thermal effect, thus providing significant skin retraction without risk of burns.

At higher temperatures, shorter treatment times can be used to achieve maximum shrinkage. At a temperature of about 65°C, the treatment time must be >=152 seconds for significant shrinkage to occur; at a temperature of 85 °C, the treatment time can be reduced to 0.044 seconds (about 3,500 times faster).

The data show that Renuvion rapidly heats tissue to 85°C long enough for collagen to reach maximum shrinkage; Collagen reacts very predictably to the application of heat. Rapid heating and near-instant cooling allow shorter application duration and therefore less heat diffusion into the skin.

During subdermal use of Renuvion, the skin surface temperature does not rise by more than 4°C; therefore, external temperature monitoring is not required.

One of the biggest advances in power technology in the last 20 years, Renuvion combines the unique properties of cold helium plasma with the efficiency of RF energy. This synergy allows for extreme precision and minimal thermal damage to the surrounding tissue.

– Renuvion has FDA clearance for soft tissue cutting, coagulation and ablation during open and laparoscopic surgical procedures.

– Renuvion has CE Mark and approval from almost all regulatory bodies in the world.
