How is the surgery done?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Generally, general anesthesia is used. Incisions are made along the length of the arm, running from the armpit to just above the elbow, along the inside of the arm. Excess fat is removed with the aid of liposuction and then excess skin is removed. The incisions are closed with stitches or absorbable sutures. A sterile dressing and compression garment are placed shortly after surgery. The procedure usually takes one to three hours.
